Tailored Suits London

Savile Row has spent generations establishing what fine tailoring can be. P.Johnson comes to London with deep respect for that achievement and a distinctly Australian contribution of its own: the nerve to make tradition feel newly alive, backed by exacting craft and clothing made for a life well lived.

Every custom-made suit in London is composed down to the smallest detail, from the sweep of the lapel to the cloth, lining and finish, with richness in its detail and the unmistakable beauty of something made only once. Its first occasion is only the beginning. Made-to-measure suits move from milestone occasions to a candlelit table in St James’s, then onto the early train from King’s Cross with a weekend case at your feet.

The tailoring process begins with a private, relaxed consultation. The fitter considers the occasion, climate, preferred silhouette and how the suit should feel, then guides the choice of cloth and construction. Comprehensive measurements are taken and an individual pattern created. The selection spans tuxedos, formal business suiting and softer lightweight tailoring for dinners, travel and more relaxed invitations. Wool, silk, linen, cashmere and blended cloths are sourced from leading British and European mills, then built over a lightweight full-canvas structure that gives the jacket a clean fall and a natural relationship with the body.

When the suit arrives, a follow-up fitting brings that construction into focus on the wearer, with the cut reviewed in motion and final adjustments completed by our in-house Savile Row tailors in London. Your measurements become part of the house record, ready to inform future commissions.

P. Johnson sits on Old Burlington Street, close to Savile Row, with a deep respect for its standards. Beyond the door, the mood is calm and private. The modern interior reflects the clothes themselves: beautiful in construction, comfortable in manner with formality reserved for the garments. Each appointment has room to breathe, whether the visit is for a first custom suit, a black-tie commission, a wedding party or the next handsome addition to an established wardrobe.

Among London tailors, P. Johnson is distinguished as much by the room as by the finished suit. Conversation comes before prescription. Cloth is handled, proportions are discussed, and the intended life of the suit is considered in full, from city functions and weddings to evenings that call for something sharper.

Alongside bespoke suits in London, the showroom carries a selection of ready-to-wear pieces. Extended opening hours, including Sunday appointments, make it easy to visit around work, travel and the crowded mathematics of a London week.
