Bird over feather.
Italian author and journalist Italo Calvino said - ‘A classic is a book that has never finished saying what it has to say’. Much like beautiful clothes don’t you think? Inexhaustible, forever relevant, pure in conception. Calvino also wisely directed us - ‘one should be light like a bird and not like a feather’.
Welcome to our March release, where, like a bird, strength and delicateness converge.
Knitwear
We sustain the sumptuous Emily cashmere cardigan, this time in chocolate, oat and grey melange and to the same effect we introduce the Claudia series - a cardigan, bandeau, and sweater in Bordeaux, taupe and charcoal. For evening knitwear there is the superb and vanishing off-shoulder Coralie dress in black.
Other revisits include the Helena beaded strap dress in an inky navy, pink moire, and dusty blue, the Corta jacket in dusty blue and the Chelsea shift in pink moire
Tailoring
We revisit the strength of the Ava jacket and triple pleat trouser, this time in a moody charcoal. We introduce the Victoria stirrup trousers with adjustable length via interior buttons, available in seal grey and an inky navy. Also new is the rather confident Lou trouser in off white, nubuck brown and dark grey.
Colette
Informal, youthful. A tie-top in moss and dusty blue, a longer tunic top in black and off white, and a matching lofty pair of shorts in the off white.
Agnes
Exquisitely limpid Italian silk with embroidered and tufted ornaments - a limited proprietary fabric developed exclusively for this garment series including a shift, a midi skirt, and a vented tunic top.
Florence
The freshest crepe-touch blouse. Light and crisp with sensual movement. In black and taupe.
Sabine
Formal, quilted pieces with an antique timbre and glass beading. A strapless gown, a crop and matching mini.
Mara
Powerful and strident evening pieces in a tissue like crimped fabric lined with silk georgette. A halter top and floor length boat neck dress.
“One should be light like a bird and not like a feather. Whenever humanity seems condemned to heaviness, I think I should fly like Perseus into a different space.”
Italo Calvino.
