In between cigarettes, beers, espressos, horse, salty lemon drinks, oysters, negronis, sardines, lots of swims and a few vinos our favourite ‘proper man’ Mark van der Loo managed to model some of our spring summer collection. James Harvey-Kelly snapped and clicked away as Mark entertained and Patrick swooned. Day two we trundled around Taormina dodging White-Lotus-dreamers and some seriously impressive tans, some entering the Pantones of ‘coffee’ or ‘basal cell carcinoma’. It was tremendous fun.
This spring summer capsule features slick silk-cotton “Bonnard” shirts, slack suits in a tissue-light cotton-silk seersucker (also in a Corbu jacket), canvas carpenter shorts and very chic canvas five pockets and the spunky “Rojin” pop over with embossed ying-yang on the back because were are into that stuff, balance, live slow - die old etc.. There are the new extra-nautical rope print swimmers and some featherweight short sleeve seersucker shirts with nifty internal chest pocket so your phone doesn’t fall out when you put the toilet seat down (you do that right?). There are plenty more great things, and you can see the whole lot packaged into a little ‘zine’ we have compiled titled Mark in Catania. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks Mark, Thanks JHK and crew. Grazie mille. Arrivederci.
