In China, you can trace the origins of dupioni plain weave silk back at least 5700 years(!). Coveted for its smooth warp and irregular slubbed wefts formed from conjoined silk cocoons that decorate the cloth with random horizontal slubs.

The cloth is fresh, breathable and strong with a subtle and elegant lustre, and dynamic movement. Standing with a firmer structure away from the body it is easy to become addicted to its versatility and feeling.
